"To ease, through prayer, the burden of cancer on individuals, their loved ones and the community and to pray that the day will come quickly when all cancers can be prevented or cured."

The Liverpool Echo August 2010

August 12th 2010

The Liverpool Echo today launched a poetry competition to give hope to cancer sufferers in Merseyside.
We are looking for uplifting and moving poems from our readers who have been touched by the devastating disease.

The top two poems will be read out at the Pause For Hope charity service at Liverpool Cathedral on October 10th 2010.

The event, in its 11th year, has been organised by several Liverpool charities including the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, Marie Curie and the Lily Centre.
